A) In-Cabin: The pet travels as your In-Cabin Baggage with you, under the front seat. Possible for pets which are upto 8kgs. Passengers have to call the airline, book their pet and pay for it directly to the airline. Airlines from India do not accept pets in cabin as Emotional Support Animals. Airlines have varying restrictions on pet weight and bag sizes allowed in cabin.
Pros: Since pet is travelling in same cabin with the passenger, it is as safe as the passenger.
Cons: Size restriction and not suitable for some pets due to their temperament.

B) Excess Baggage: The pet travels as your “Excess Baggage” in the “Belly/Cargo hold” of the aircraft. The pets are mandatorily checked in by the passenger from the passenger terminal and checked out at the passenger terminal by the passenger himself. Passengers have to call the airline, book their pet and pay for it directly to the airline. Passengers do not get to meet the pet at transit under any condition. Airlines have varying policies for price/ breed/size of kennel/number of pets which needs to be confirmed by the passenger with the airline before booking.
Pros: Pet Ticket rates are flat and lesser than cargo mode. “Feeling” of comfort for the passenger that the pet is traveling with them in the same flight.
Cons: Extended crate time at one stretch (from source to destination) even if it includes transit. The pets are not let out of the crate at transit for food or walk due to the limited transit time.

C) Manifest Cargo: The pet travels as “Manifest cargo” in the “belly/cargo hold” area of the aircraft, just like the excess baggage. It can be a passenger or a cargo flight. It is not compulsory for the owner to travel in the same flight. The pet is checked in mandatorily at the cargo terminal by Pawsome.in after completing custom clearance and other cargo formalities. The pet is checked-out at the cargo terminal by the owner himself or hire another agent in the destination country. Owners can-not meet pet at transit. The owners cannot directly book, check-in or pay the airline for the pet. It must be done by an agent like us. The pet ticket charge is based on volume/space occupied by the pet in aircraft.
Pros: Best mode for longer distances and for bigger pets as they get a comfort stop at transit where trained handlers feed, walk and care for the pet. This mode is actually safer and more reliable regarding pet policies and care. Owners can fly ahead and prepare for the pet’s arrival.
Cons: Relatively higher rates. “Feeling” that the transit is a long time.
