When Anirudh Gautam and family got transferred to Switzerland they were caught completely unaware that their loving child “Cooper” – an year old Golden Retriever could not go right away with them. So they got him boarded in India until he finished the Titre test and 90 days waiting time. To begin with we were only aware of the formalities at India side. The import formalities through an agent was turning out very expensive. Different sites mentioned that it would be treated as commercial import as the dog is arriving more than 5 days post the family’s arrival. But Anirudh and family made the efforts to talk to the authorities and got all the paperwork done themselves in least expensive mode. In the process, we also learnt new things about import formalities at Zürich, Switzerland. It is so good when we learn from each of our client about other countries’ pet import process, so we can pass on the benefit to the next one.
